MEET THE AUTHOR
Author Ebony Brown was born and raised in the city of Chicago. She started her career as a model and actress. Ebony has featured in Season 1 of "Empire" and Spike Lee's "Chiraq." She has also modeled in New York Fashion Week, but her real passion has always been storytelling. She began her journey with a Chicago music themed blog, LYF Chicago, that she and her big brother created from scratch. She later wrote her first stage play "Netflix & Chill" in March of 2016.
At age 26, she published her first book "A Skinny Girl's Skeleton." Growing up in the heart of Chicago exposed her to many things early in life, which is how she learned to use her pain to fuel her passion. Her passion and life lessons have led her to many accomplishments. The greatest accomplishment thus far is encouraging young black girls to love themselves as they are.
